Louis is a professionally certified accountant who completed his PhD focusing on accounting information systems used for operational analysis and governance. He is an active researcher as well as being the academic lead for the Creative Destruction Lab – Atlantic. Louis has also founded or co-founded 2 start-ups, both of which enjoyed successful (if modest) exits.
Grant has over 15 years experience in software development and project management as founder of a software development and consultancy serving Atlantic Canada. He also served 5 years as Director of a student-focused software innovation lab within Dalhousie University’s Faculty of Computer Science. Grant successfully planned and executed a variety of innovation-focused events such as hackathons, design thinking workshops, software development bootcamps and related student enrichment activities. Previously, Grant worked as a Shipping/Receiving Manager—handling domestic and international bulk freight, priority shipments, and controlling $7M+ inventory annually.
Rickey is a unique blend of technical knowledge and personability making him a great person to lead BlueNode’s technical team and vision. He has a history of managing teams to build data applications in domains including e-commerce, inventory, social media, real estate, and pharmaceuticals. He has a deep commitment to the overall well-being of organizational teams.
Deepan has industry experience working with product-based companies as a full-stack developer in creating and managing web applications. His interests also include Data Science and Applied Machine Learning and worked on projects involving forecasting and predictions. He is also experienced in delivering business insights through creative visualizations and interactive dashboards. Deepan loves to solve complex problems and is always passionate about learning new technologies.
Will is a Halifax-based software developer with industry experience in scientific computing, data analytics, API development and cloud-based DevOps. In his most recent role, he was responsible for developing the cloud architecture, data privacy processes, recommender service and backend services that power JackHabbit’s wellbeing e-tool. Will aspires to build contemporary data systems that are trusted by all stakeholders and designed with the needs of all end users in mind. More broadly, Will strives to communicate effectively, developing meaningful relationships with his collaborators and clients while remaining honest when the organization must inspect and adapt their internal processes. He is excited to solve challenging and compelling problems using BNSuite’s data ingestion, cleansing and enrichment functionalities and deliver value to BlueNode’s supply chain partners.
